The color code of the bezel, which is a characteristic of the GMT Master, allows you to identify the day and night at the time point of the GMT hand at a glance, and by providing a mechanism that allows you to operate the short hand independently, you can easily find out the time displays from two different countries, along with the GMT hand.
The red and blue Cerachrome bezel is commonly known as "Pepsi" and is a very popular bezel color. In 2007, with the introduction of the previous model, Ref.116710LN, the red and blue bezels were temporarily out of the lineup, but Cerachrome's "Pepsi" was re-released with the WG model Ref.116719BLRO (currently discontinued). It was adopted in a stainless steel model in 2018.
The trailing reference number, "BLRO" represents the color of the bezel, meaning "BL" = Bleu (blue) and "RO" = Rouge (red) in French.
