Confidence in every detail.

How We Authenticate
The short answer: Every item at LUXARIA is appraised by two or more experienced appraisers, each with more than ten years in the industry, together with AI, and is then inspected by more than one person against more than 50 check points before it goes on sale. Every item has a written condition grade, and every Hermès bag listing shows its year stamp, so you can see what you are buying.
Who checks your item
LUXARIA is run by Our Value Co., Ltd., which also operates a luxury appraisal service and an online shop in Japan. Across the company we appraise more than 10,000 items a year. That volume is what trains our eye: our appraisers see the same models, leathers and hardware again and again, and new appraisers learn through an in-house training programme built on that experience.
Our process, step by step
- Appraisal by two or more appraisers. Each appraiser has more than ten years of experience in the industry.
- AI check. The appraisers' judgement is backed by AI.
- Inspection of more than 50 points. When the item arrives, and again before it ships, more than one person inspects it against our checklist.
- Written condition grade. We give every item one of six grades (see below).
- Details on the listing. For Hermès bags, the item name shows the year stamp, size, leather and colour.
What we look at on a Hermès bag
- Stitching: even, angled saddle stitching by hand.
- Heat stamp: the "HERMÈS PARIS MADE IN FRANCE" stamp, its depth and spacing.
- Year stamp: the letter that shows the year of production. For example, "B" is 2023 and "W" is 2024.
- Hardware: the weight, finish and engraving of the lock, keys, clochette and feet.
- Leather: the grain and feel that match the stated leather (for example Togo or Epsom).
- Interior and corners: where wear shows first.

| Used super beautiful condition | Used, but shows no sign of use. |
| Used condition | Used, in good condition with few signs of use. |
| Used Good Product | Used; signs of use are hard to see with the naked eye. |
| Sign of use | Clearly a used item at first glance. |
